Before we begin

Good questions.
Clear expectations.

What should I bring to our first conversation?

Bring your location, approximate area, available plans or site photographs, and references that help explain your priorities. Describe how you want to use the space, your budget approach and any target dates. Identify information that still needs checking; you do not need to arrive with a finished design brief.

What will our proposal explain?

The proposal should identify the project brief, spaces in scope, design stages, deliverables, review rounds, consultant responsibilities, site involvement and exclusions. Review the fee basis, payment stages and project-dependent programme before appointing the team. Ask for any unclear responsibility or assumption to be explained in writing.

When do I review the design, and can I change it?

Review the work at the agreed design milestones, such as layouts, design direction and material selections. The proposal defines review rounds and revision scope. Consolidate feedback before approving the next stage; later changes should be recorded with their effect on drawings, cost and the project programme.

How are consultants and site visits handled?

Consultant coordination and site involvement depend on the written appointment. Confirm which structural or other specialists are needed, who appoints them, and the purpose and basis of visits. Design reviews or occasional site visits should not be assumed to include continuous supervision or full-time site management.

Is construction included in design consultation?

Design consultation covers the design, drawings, selections and coordination listed in your proposal. Execution is a separate responsibility unless expressly included. If you want coordinated delivery, discuss turnkey services and confirm procurement, contractor coordination, site responsibilities, exclusions and handover expectations alongside the design scope.

How is the project timeline agreed?

The programme depends on the brief, site information, design reviews, specialist inputs, approvals, procurement and execution scope. Share target dates early and confirm the proposed sequence with the team. Timely decisions and site access help; new requirements, late approvals or site discoveries may require a revised programme.

A CLEAR START

A considered design. An informed decision.

The right starting point is a brief that connects your ambitions with the practical decisions ahead. Discuss the spaces you need, the available site information and the budget priorities before choosing finishes or committing to a package.

Use our Udaipur project collection to explore relevant design thinking. During the first conversation, ask about the proposed deliverables, review stages, consultant inputs and any services that sit outside the scope.

A home. A space. A fresh start.

What are you
