Scope of Work
1. Structural Engineering
Structural analysis and design of foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and load-bearing walls.
Seismic and wind load assessments, ensuring compliance with local building codes.
Coordination with architectural and MEP teams to prevent conflicts.
Preparation of structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
Quality control and site inspections to ensure adherence to design.
2. Mechanical Engineering
HVAC system design, including ventilation, heating, and cooling load calculations.
Medical gas system planning for oxygen, vacuum, and other critical gases.
Plumbing and drainage design, ensuring hygiene and efficiency.
Fire protection system layout, including sprinklers and smoke evacuation.
Energy-efficient mechanical solutions to enhance sustainability.
3. BIM Coordination
Clash detection and resolution between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
3D modeling and coordination using software like Revit and Navisworks.
Level of Development (LOD) compliance (typically LOD 300-400 for construction).
Extracting quantities and generating shop drawings from the BIM model.
Ensuring all trades align with hospital-specific requirements and regulations.
